trial's over and done with. could be better though, but i guess i cant complain, or else crystal will say i'm whining excessively again.
Been rediscovering CLT recently. I think its a euphemism though, corz in truth i'm forced to study for it. But its fascinating, even if Glenn's textbook is obtuse and boring at times. But i'm lagging behind and the exam's only 1.5 weeks away. Sigh..
i went to Laila's house on sunday for hari raya dinner. Her mum cooked up a storm for us. the beef rendang and fried chicken was seriously nice. I'm so gonna steal her recipe just before i go on exchange, so at least i learn how to cook something.
and the conversation of the day came when we were discussing about Islamic legal tradition (and thus marrying our studies with the hari raya celebration). Zhang Rui asked whether the bible or the koran was more binding. Someone made a remark to the effect that if you cannot find the answer in the Koran, u perhaps can then look to the bible or something else, just like judges looking at other jurisdictions for persuasive authority.
law students are really such nerds at times.
Add-on: I met this exchange dude from NZ yesterday, and surprise surprise! he listens to jay chou too! we already agreed to go Kbox one day after exams! hahaz
