Realised i haven blogged in ages. haha a summary of what i've been doing since the hols started would look like this:
Work, Sleep, Work, Sleep, Law Camp prep, Sleep, More work.
I realised i havent had a single week to slack at home. Most of my time is spent earning money by doing useless things at a law firm, then law camp prep. Now i'm in the midst of doing research for my prof, pretty stressful corz i'm in the middle of yet another major headache. Like what crystal said "Busy busy busy. Just the way you like it!"
Major events include finally breaking my half year losing streak in mahjong (sorry sam!), spending loads of time with my gf, and night cycling.
Night cycling was really fun, though i suspect we overdid it. I wasnt really abt to walk on sat at all. We basically did the entire eastern part of Singapore, in between supper stops and taking photos of roadkill and SMU-sque pictures in the middle of the road. Great food, great company, great time, but lousy bikes. the chain fell off a few times, and of all persons it was caitlin to the rescue. Brute force (ie guys) cannot compare to years of experience in cycling and skill (ie Caitlin). Photos will be up when I get the time to upload here.
Did the reverse bungy with Auntie Ng too. It was ok la, not really that fun corz the adrenaline rush wasnt that high. u can really anticipate the rush because u feel nothing when u go up. the rush comes when u go down. again, videos will be up when i get the time to upload stuff.
Working at a law firm was pretty fun actually though boring at times. I'm not interning, primarily because i'm doing shit work, and i get paid higher than ur typical intern. But, i get to go to court, and (major cheap thrill here) i got a mention on court transcripts.
Blockbusters this season have left me a bit disappointed. Pirates was too draggy, Spiderman was too emo, and Shrek.. well somehow Shrek doesnt feel as funny as before.
Was quite nervy when grades were released, primarily corz i gambled and wrote something down for the exams, and i kept thinking abt it. Huge relief when the grades are out, though if u ask me, i'm still sore over moots. My ranking though, was beyond what i expected. To be honest, i did expect, or rather hope, to get the subject prize for crim, esp after seeing my crim grade. What i didnt expect is the whole slew of other prizes. Thank you to everybody for their congratulatory smses and msgs, which include Jo, Christine the hot-Tee, Crystal, Auntie Ng, J-Kwek, Emily, Zhengxi, Ruizi, Clarisse, Ben Smith, Laila, Yu Chou and the rest (meaning i cant recall as of now).. And surprisingly, Sumy too. haha its kinda nice to hear from the tutor who tortured u the most during the entire year. And the good thing is, she shortlisted me as a judge next year. haha so that means i will have fun torturing the year 1s on the stand next year..
Law camp next week, and its going to be great fun! hahaz and after tat i finally can meet up with my mo ni! hahaz
