"The path of true love never did run smooth"
Its amazing how pple can chat merrily to one another and then turn into silent couples all of a sudden. The complexities of relationships makes it a big blessing if u can find pple to get along with. Its much harder when you elevate a relationship into a higher level, where parties expect more from each other. Worse still, when you have to deal with the fallout from an implosion. It can get ugly. Everybody is stressed up nowadays, and it really doesnt give anybody the right though to flare up at other pple. But, it also doesnt mean that the other party is flaring up unreasonably because he's stressed. What if, it was really a sorept in the first place, and stress only exacerbates the reaction (Binny, the sensitive claimant, and defences of reasonableness comes to mind at this moment)? The old adage "one man's meat is another man's poison" can be given a twist; what appears as an innocent comment to one can be a spiked barb to another.
And, if A gets angry with B, B gets angry with A for his anger, and A gets angry with B for her reaction, and so on, when will it stop? Both should really just take 1 step back, for this is really a case of an irritating comment to one, a joke to another, thats blown out of proportion. But B is quite tired at the moment, so A will just have to wait until this blows over.
Quite why am i writing this i dunno, esp with a crim essay due tmr. But it seems apt to talk about negligent reactions when i'm writing about negligent acts.
And i probably should have gone to watch Iwo Jima by myself instead.
