Its ironic that i read an article in the Straits Times on Monday blues, and here i am suffering from a very bad mon. First up, i dropped my contact lens and couldnt find it. new pair somemore. Damn sian. Then the rain and subsequent jam meant that i reached sch much much later. the aircon in the classroom was down so everybody was suffocating. Moots later was really bad. First, LLT made a weird comment abt how my first sub-heading in my memorial didnt have any application (how the hell do u do application on duty when application is really about breach, which was in the 2nd heading?). This of course meant my confidence went down already. Next, I false started 3 times (not my fault; nobody was paying attention when i made my opening statement), which lead to a bundle of nerves for the first few mins, and screwed my opening. I prep 15 cases and she managed to ask me one that i didnt read. I smoked my way through and didnt really got caught, but then she said she could tell i didnt really read the case. But on hindsight, that line of reasoning in the case was rejected by me last time, so i wouldnt have used it anyway. Just peeved that I didnt really pursue that line of reasoning and then failed to read that particular case. My case theory was, in Sumy's words, "lacking a common thread", so it wasnt linked. Then, my rebuttal was on a few pts, but LLT made me go back on 1 pt, when during my opponent's submissions she demolished it rather well that i thought there was no need to address it. its really all my moots nightmare coming together at once. Sumy's words to me were "you could have done better". and i agree too, if there wasnt so many stupid demoralising events before i utter the first word. Well she did say it was still very good, but then i think it doesnt count for much. its really a fucking case of monday blues.
