this is the first christmas eve in a while that i've spent at home instead of meeting frens or going to town, but then i dun feel alone at all :)
christmas eve's eve dinner last nite was a hoot. there were a total of 7 pple, 6 guys and a gal, and they bought 2 roast chickens, 1 turkey, 1 5kg log of ham, lotsa lettuce, and a log cake. its small wonder that we couldnt finish the food at all! and we made a mess of the kitchen. what started as trying to heat up the turkey in the oven ended in dislodging the door of the oven. luckily the kitchen had other apparatus to heat up the food. we felt mightily guilty abt "destroying" the oven, until the host assured us that his sis and her frens managed to destroy the entire cooking hood many years ago!
its funny how we finally managed to have regular gatherings 5 years after we graduated frm DHS. our unlikely combination of a class, with subject combinations as diverse as history e-lit and bio c-lit, worked out pretty well in the end. thats y christmas makes u happy, to be able to meet up with old frens and tok cok and play mahjong into the nite. of corz, my brudders r going to say again that playing mahjong is damn ah pek behaviour, but well, its the conversations between games that count. i've finally managed to unravel the "mystery" behind my fren's relationship, 2 years after she got together with her other half. and its pretty surreal too, to listen to my female frens' woes abt leaving university in half a year's time and working when i've only started 1 sem of law sch.
bangkok is in a week's time!
